Puppy Purchase Information
If you would like to have one of our puppies placed in your home, please read this page
please use message box at the bottom of this page to request a Puppy Application and Agreement Form after you have read this page. This is important and will answer many of your questions. We are happy to place you on our wait list if we don't have what you are looking for at the time you apply. We do go to our list before we advertise any of our babies. So wait list families will get first choice of puppies and will be contacted when we have babies.
We will register puppies with AKC for you at our expense. You will need to choose a name for your puppy. AKC will mail YOU the puppy's Registration Slip. They will be micro chipped and enrolled in AKC ReUnite program for life at no extra expense to you.
We have all of our dogs DNA Tested with Embark and ALL are CLEAR of Cocker Spaniel Inherited Diseases including: PRCD Progressive Retinal Atrophy, Nephropathy, Glycogen Storage Disease, Degenerative Myelophy, Chondrodystrophy and Intervertebral Disc Disease, and over 200 other diseases dogs can inherit. Some people will say that the DNA tests aren't important, but I believe they are so this is where we start our testing. We are in the process of completing our Breeding and Potential Breeding dogs CAER eyes and OFA or PennHip for Hips.
PRICING:
Our babies placement fee at this time is $2000. this fee is for LIMITED AKC Registration. This means NO BREEDING. You now need to have your baby spayed or neutered when they are around one year old. Veterinarians will vary as to when they believe a dog should be altered. But we ask you to have it done at one year old. Please send me a copy of puppies alteration by email.
Deposit is $600. I will contact you and ask for a deposit to hold a baby for you. Puppies are generally ready for new homes when they are 8 weeks old. You are welcome to mail a check for the deposit. You can mail a check for the final payment, but it must be in my hand 7 working days before we hand your baby over to you. Otherwise you will need to bring your balance due in cash or Venmo three days prior to meeting.
There are reasons we have policies in place.
We always have first rights if we choose to keep a puppy.
ABOUT SILVER COCKER SPANIELS. We do have Silver babies at times. But I do not promise Silver. They can fool you. They may appear to be Silver at birth or even at 8 weeks, but then end up being Silver Buff. So yes we do have them, but no I will not promise one. I can give you an educated guess or even a potential Silver, but I will not promise a Silver. Our Silver boy Buddy, a true Silver, does produce Silver babies, but not in every litter and certainly not every puppy in a litter. I will not promise one and I will not quarantee any puppy to be Silver when they grow up. I do continue to research and study pedigrees.
Puppies will now have three vaccines before they leave us. They will have one Neopar and two 5-Way. They will have been wormed at 2, 4, 6 and 8 weeks. They will have their tails banded and dew claws removed.
They will have their health records, a toy, a blanket, a birth certificate and some puppy food, etc.
We have the right to refuse to sell a puppy to someone if we choose; up until we hand them off to you.
We will always choose the best fit for our puppies.
PLEASE READ:
I really would like to know what your basic lifestyle is so I can help you choose the right puppy for you. If you want a puppy that will lay on your lap all day and you get a very active outside type personality, you won't be happy, and the puppy sure won't. If you want a dog to go to the lake or mountains with you and you get a puppy that just wants to lay on the couch then you won't be happy and the dog will get the blame.
Please don't choose a puppy on looks alone. We know their personalities pretty quickly. By the time the puppies are around four weeks old, we can already tell a whole lot about their personalities. We have chosen our best puppies to stay with us. That is not just looks, but attitude. Therefore most of our puppies love humans and want to please you. But if it isn't in their personality then it will be harder for them to please you. So use some wisdom and let me help you.
Please don't be inpatient or pushy, this will not get you a puppy any sooner. In fact, you may not get one at all. Puppies require patience and leading, not pushing.
We train our puppies to potty on a grate and tray system and we make a way for them to go outside through a partially opened doggy door. This should make potty training them much easier for you. We also use different resources as well as our own experience for Early Neurological Stimulaiton and Early Scent Inroduction, Sounds, Sights, etc. They have been in and out of crates, gone on car rides, been around other dogs and dog noises and groomed at least twice.
We do the best we can with the time that we have with them.
Please understand we usually only have three breeding age females at one time. So you may have to wait awhile to get a puppy from us. Most people request little girls. If you want a girl baby then you will wait longer. We have some super sweet little boys also.
We also have retired girls and boys available at times. All of them are health checked and either neutered or spayed. All are sweet doggies. Their prices are generally $1000. to $2000. They make wonderful pets and love to please humans.

Not an ounce of care, no scurrying to the corner in fear - took everything/everyone he met in stride, harness, leash, family, things in the rooms etc...he seems to be constantly thinking on his feet! Initially he was hiding his toys under the bed, but abruptly stopped - probably realized there's no point with no siblings around. We've had 2 potty accidents but he's now quickly picked up ringing the bell hung by the door to go out. He always needs to be touching someone, or have someone in his line of sight whether it be while playing or sleeping lol! He's taken over my wife's pillow for sleeping leaving her with only a quarter...fights his own bed around and won't sleep on it. His own den is almost ready - will have to wean him out of that sleep mode somehow. The weekend saw 3 kids running around in the house all day! My mother simply loves him - she's constanly talking about how we can improve things for the little guy lol.
Incredible dogs! We brought home our baby, Leo just a few days ago and are amazed by how well adjusted, sweet, playful (yet calm), bonded and easy to train he is. They kept us informed through the entire process from application to the waiting period. You can tell they give great care to their dogs and pups and love them tremendously. I could not be happier we chose J&S. Our baby was worth every penny (and much more). I’m glad we did our research before choosing a breeder. They made a dream come true and our family is still on cloud 9. Thank you could never be adequate words to say our appreciation for the care they’ve shown their (and our) dogs.

We brought home a sweet baby boy and he has been our little bundle of joy. He is so sweet and was so easy to train. He is wonderful with kids, adults and other animals.
We just had our adorable silver puppy boy from Mrs. and Mr. Caton, J and S, three days ago. He is a very smart, playful, and brave boy, and we are enjoying every moment with him. My husband and I picked up Harvey a couple weeks ago and we are absolutely in LOVE. I just recently had to put my other cocker down and reached out to Sharell looking for another puppy. She talked with me personally on the phone and sent multiple pictures of our boy! We love J and S cocker spaniels and would recommend them to anyone looking for a beautiful and sweet cocker spaniel!
I absolutely believe that the proof is in the puppy. But I have to say that Jacky and Sharell are wonderful as well. They went out of their way both literally and figuratively for us. Their love and caring for the puppies is evident. Our beautiful little girl Hallie is from the recent Cuvee x Valor litter. We couldn't be more happy. She is an absolute doll. Sweet as sugar but intrepid as well. She came into a household with cats (a new experience for her) and she very sweetly walked up and introduced herself within minutes of entering our home for the first time. She showed no fear or aggression. Jacky and Sharell told us she used the doggie door and was not house-broken per se. However there have been no accidents in the house thus far. Little Hallie tells us she wants to go out and then goes to the door and sits raising one paw to the door as if she were about to go through a doggie door. What a little sweetheart - and she talks! Her entire backside and tail wiggling the entire time. Personality plus that is Hallie! In closing, I just can't say enough about J and S Cocker Spaniels. Thank you so much!
